COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update
As the world continues efforts to slow the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, advice regarding public health measures in our communities and health care settings is evolving quickly. Due to updated direction from the BC College of Dental Surgeons on March 16 for all BC Dental offices to suspend non-essential dental services at this time due to the coronavirus we are closed until further notice.
Our team is now past the recommended self-quarantine time related to our attendance at the Pacific Dental Conference in Vancouver. Only one team member has shown any cold/flu symptoms since the conference, and she has tested negative for COVID-19.
We will continue to assess and monitor the evolving situation based on guidance provided by public health officials, and infection prevention and control experts such as: the BC Provincial Health Officer and the Minister of Health, the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), the College of Dental Surgeons of BC (CDSBC), and the BC Dental Association (BCDA). We are following suggested practices and protocol to ensure that our clinic will be a safe place to provide and receive treatment once we reopen.
We will post new information here regarding COVID-19 as it relates the re-opening of our clinic. We will also be monitoring emails and voicemails intermittently throughout our closure, so please reach out with any questions.
Please contact Dr. Girard if you feel you require emergency care due to a risk of dental infection or if you are experiencing acute pain. He can be reached at 250.532.7848.
