Dr Franco Girard

General Dentist

Dr. Franco Girard believes that healthy mouths smile more often—and he’s on a mission to make every visit calm, informed, and even enjoyable. At Oaklands Dental, Franco provides top-notch dental care in a friendly, relaxed environment where comfort, curiosity, and collaboration come first. He partners with you in co-discovery—taking the time to understand your concerns, explain your options, and help you choose the best treatment plan for your unique needs.

Franco earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2010 and has been practicing ever since. He’s committed to life-long learning, with extensive training in advanced techniques in Guided Implant Placement, Orthodontics (Invisalign), Restorative and Cosmetic dentistry using digital diagnostics (like CBCT and 3D modeling). Whether it’s a routine check-up or a complex restorative case, he applies the latest science with a warm, personal touch.

Guided by kindness, mindfulness, and a belief that dental care should be empowering, Dr. Girard constantly pursues continuing education to elevate both his skills and the patient experience. At Oaklands Dental, he and his team focus on prevention, clear communication, and compassionate care that respects your goals and comfort.

Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, Franco enjoys connecting with a diverse range of patients and making dental care accessible for everyone he meets.

When he’s not helping people smile, you’ll find him enjoying life on the lands and waters around Victoria —whether that’s on the ice playing hockey, touring on his motorcycle, hiking scenic trails, cozying up after a cold swim and sauna, or hosting friends for a good meal.
Dr Caroline Lee

General Dentist

Dr. Caroline Lee earned her Bachelor of Science in Immunology with honours before completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at McGill University, where she graduated with distinction.

She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and is guided by a patient-centred approach focused on comfort, trust, and clear communication. Dr. Lee is proud to be part of the Oaklands Dental team and is committed to helping her patients feel at ease and confident in their care.

Originally from South Korea and now based in Canada, Dr. Lee has also worked abroad in Cambodia and France, supporting underserved communities — experiences that inspired her path in dentistry.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys Pilates, great food, travelling, and hiking with her dog and their dog friends (and their humans, too).
Dr Sahara Mistry

General Dentist

Dr. Mistry was born in Northern BC in the small town of Quesnel. She received her Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) from UNBC in Prince George. Eventually, she moved down to Vancouver, where she graduated from UBC with her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

She enjoys working and communicating with her patients so they feel their concerns are being heard and met. Dr. Mistry is passionate about dentistry and enjoys keeping up to date with continuing education courses to provide the best patient-centred dental care possible.

Dr. Mistry moved to Vancouver Island in the summer of 2020 and has fallen in love with island life since. She enjoys spending her time hiking, going to spin class, practicing yoga, or working on her next knitting project.

Students and families are always welcome! Oaklands Dental is easy to get to via public transit. (But we also offer plenty of free parking!)
